The most recent banking crisis has led the European Central Bank to coordinate a plan that guarantees dollar liquidity, for now, until the end of April.

The ECB is working with the Fed, the central banks of England, Canada and Japan, as well as the Swiss National Bank. The plan provides for offering dollars for seven days, through daily operations, from now until the end of next April.

The agreement for currency exchange lines in dollars focuses on the banks that already offer these financings, increasing the frequency of operations.

The President of the ECB, Christine Lagarde, has assessed the decision of the financial and banking authorities as positive and timely, as well as fast, in order to provide confidence and security in the midst of the turbulence.
