Acapulco’s residents who were affected by Hurricane Otis received donations through Binance Charity, from the Binance exchange, after completed the Proof of Address (POA) up to October 25.

The objective is to provide support to people who are suffering the effects of Hurricane Otis, which caused great damage to the infrastructure of hotels and residences in Acapulco.

People who completed the form called Proof of Address before October 25 got USD 100 from Binance Charity. Those who did it later got USD 25.

Users of the platform residing in the affected area of ​​Mexico will receive the amount established in their accounts directly, “specifically from the “Rewards Center”, all through transactions with BNB tokens starting today, November 1.”

Binance Charity has stated: “Following natural disasters, people often lose access to traditional banking at the exact time additional funds are needed to help cover medical supplies, food, and other essential needs.”

The donation is a way to offer financial help to those affected by this natural disaster directly, with a credit to their Binance accounts. The platform will continue to work to find other ways to provide help to victims.
