The National Electoral Council of Venezuela has begun the process of training polling station members and accrediting electoral witnesses who will participate in the elections to elect mayors and municipal councilors scheduled for July 27
The National Electoral Council of Venezuela announced that it has begun training polling station members who will participate in the elections on July 27 to elect the new councilors and mayors.
CNE President Elvis Amoroso also announced through the electoral body’s Telegram account that the accreditation of polling station witnesses for these elections has begun. Amoroso called on “voters who were selected to provide mandatory electoral service to visit https://ecap.cne.gob.ve/ to complete the training and obtain accreditation as polling station members for the municipal elections.”
This process, which began on June 27, will run until Saturday, July 26, the day before the elections. In this regard, the CNE has enabled the telephone line 0800-VOTEMOS (0800-8683667) so that those selected can obtain more information about the process.
Regarding the accreditation of witnesses, political organizations have been authorized by the CNE to submit their applications through the Automated Witness Accreditation System (SAT), “where they must begin registering their witnesses at each of the 20,410 voting stations that will be enabled for the municipal elections, Municipal Boards, Regional Boards, and the CNE.”
