China will put an end to illegal farms

A government agency said they intend to eradicate this activity in the autonomous city of Xinjiaing Uyghur

A report issued by a government agency said on Monday that it is planned to completely eradicate the illegal operations of bitcoin mining in the Xinjiaing Uyghur autonomous region of China.

After a series of leaks and rumors, it was finally confirmed that the Economic and Information Commission (EIC) of Xinjiang began working on the preparation of lawsuits against local service companies charged with carrying out such activity.

According to a source close to the EIC, the agency has the aim of ending those companies that are not registered with the government under a business license or use electric power without formal contracts of service companies.

“The agencies and local service companies will be held accountable if they fail to shut down illegal bitcoin mining operations,” says the EIC. This follows a previous report that required Xinjiang service companies to regularly report bitcoin operations to the authorities.
