During a meeting between President Nicolás Maduro and China’s ambassador to Venezuela, Lan Hu, held on Tuesday, October 7, several key agreements were signed to foster bilateral cooperation.
Both nations maintain strong commercial relations in strategic areas such as trade, investment, and technology through more than 600 agreements. The signing of new alliances seeks to strengthen these ties, including “infrastructure projects and economic development initiatives,” aimed at “boosting growth in the Global South and countering external pressures.”
In the economic sector, the treaties signed between China and Venezuela have contributed to expanding trade and attracting foreign investment.
These initiatives have been supported by the Venezuelan government, “along with public and private productive sectors,” within the framework of the All-Proof, All-Weather Strategic Partnership.
