Bitmain was sued for alleged unauthorized mining

The company faces charges for undue taking of cryptocurrencies, valued at five million dollars

Currently, the Bitmain company is facing a class action lawsuit valued at five million dollars filed in US courts.

The plaintiffs claim that the company illegally removed funds produced with the hardawares of the miners.

The indictment was filed on November 19th by Gor Gevorkyan, a resident of Los Angeles County who denounced the Bitmain companies in China and the United States before the Federal Court of the Northern District of California.

“Until all the complicated and tedious initialization procedures were completed, Bitmain’s ASIC devices were preconfigured to make use of their customers’ electric power to generate crypto balances for the benefit of the company, which the clients did not end up receiving”, indicated the demand document.

For this case it is estimated that there are about 100 people affected by the measures and that the estimated balance taken without consent exceeds five million dollars between rates, interest and associated costs.
