Binance CEO receives strong criticism for controversial tweets

Changpeng Zhao showed his position towards the storage of cryptocurrencies through the exchange, so the community turned against him

Changpeng Zhao, CEO of Binance was criticized for advising the public on the storage of cryptocurrencies in exchanges, instead of on personal devices.

The recommendation was made through his official Twitter account, where he spoke about the latent risks to which the user is vulnerable if they saves their digital assets in a personal way.

This occurs in the context of a robbery that suffered a New Zealand exchange, which lost at least 2.44 million dollars in ethereum.

After so many criticisms, the CEO of Binance made another publication where he clarified his position to his followers in order to “calm the spirits”.

“Some people seem to misread this tweet, it lists 3 options, it does not say which option is better than another, since it depends on each person’s security skill, preference, allocation of funds, etc. Most importantly, it is an advertisement for #BinanceDEX. My mistake for not making it clear”, he emphasized.
