Bimbo boosted its benefit during 2021

The company obtained a benefit of almost 700 million dollars, representing a 74.7 % growth

Grupo Bimbo recorded a net benefit attributed from almost 700 million dollars during 2021, which corresponds to an increase of 74.7 % with respect to profits accounted for one year earlier and more than double compared to 2019.

The President of the Board and General Director of the Company, Daniel Servitje, highlighted in the quarterly account report the year “exceptional” for the company, period in which he recorded record figures on sales, volumes and benefit “in a complex operating environment.”

“These results reflect the arduous work of our teams, the solid execution of our plans and strategies our wide diversification and the strength of our brands”, Servitje added.

During 2021, the company’s net sales amounted to almost 16,000 million dollars, 5.4 % more than in 2020 and 19.5 % more than in 2019. Good business performance is explained by widespread growth in all Markets except in North America, where, however, billing was barely reduced by 0.1 %.

The market that grew the most was that of Europe, Asia and Africa, with a year-on-year rebound of 13.9 %, up to 1.5 billion dollars that prompted the region as the third market of the group ahead of Latin America.
