In the new office, located in the Traki Cumaná Center, located on Humboldt and Las Palomas avenues, clients will have the possibility of opening accounts in bolivars and foreign currencies

To promote banking access for Venezuelans, offer business opportunities and contribute to the development of the region, Bancamiga inaugurated this Thursday the Cumaná agency, the first in the state of Sucre, sixth in eastern Venezuela and number 46 in the entire country.

The president of the Board of Directors of Bancamiga Banco Universal, Carmelo De Grazia, said that in this space Bancamiga will make available products such as its accounts in bolivars and in foreign currencies, which will allow operations in foreign currencies through the Exchange Desk.

The Mastercard Debit Card will also be offered to make online purchases and pay at points of sale inside and outside the country, and the Bancamiga POS, which in alliance with Soluciones Integrales Tecnológica SITCA, are the most modern and versatile on the market, offering the possibility to pay and recharge telephone and TV services, in addition to stamping 5 and 6 and playing the lottery.

For the executive president of Bancamiga, Ariel Martínez, the purpose of the Cumaná agency is to bank this highly relevant state in eastern Venezuela.

“Cumaná is the city with the greatest economic activity in Sucre because it is linked to fishing practice. In addition, it centralizes an active trade in both export and import, although a growing construction industry is also developed there,” he said.

Bancamiga is a leader in culture and organizational climate; and is among the top Venezuelan private banks

Martínez recalled that Bancamiga is at the top of the banks in the national financial system and this year it has continued its sustained growth, adapting to new banking trends and market needs. It was certified for the third time in a row by the leading company in culture and organizational climate, Great Place to Work, as a great place to work.

“All the people of Cumaná have great expectations with this office that has been so requested in the region,” he said.

He also highlighted that the agency is located in a privileged location, with easy access and great attendance as it is a shopping center with a lot of economic flow.

With Cumaná, Bancamiga reaches its sixth agency in eastern Venezuela by joining Puerto La Cruz, El Tigre y Lechería (Anzoátegui), Maturín (Monagas) and Rattan Plaza Porlamar (Nueva Esparta). It also becomes service point number 70, which includes 46 agencies, 19 non-banking MRW points, two Associated Ticket Offices, two External Ticket Offices and the Bancamiga Móvil unit.
