Bancamiga and young students together for the UN SDGs
The program “Creating ideas. Together for Venezuela” opens opportunities for new generations to be agents of change in the construction of a more sustainable and equitable future
Bancamiga created an educational program called “Creating ideas. Together for Venezuela”, which promotes among young students the generation of ideas for the country, and focuses on supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of the 2030 Agenda adopted by the United Nations Organization (UN).
The project was developed with the participation of more than 300 young people and adolescents, between 12 and 15 years of age, high school students from Caracas in sectors such as Catia, Antímano, Petare and Las Mayas.
This unprecedented program by Bancamiga seeks to generate a positive impact on Venezuelan society, with the purpose of stimulating creativity and citizen participation, opening opportunities for new generations to be agents of change that contribute to the construction of a more sustainable and equitable future.
Bancamiga is committed to joining forces to achieve the SDGs, as it is a common goal of the UN member countries in the search to ensure that all people enjoy well-being with social, economic and environmental sustainability.
Bancamiga promotes teamwork
The program “Creating Ideas. “Together for Venezuela” included two work sessions or workshops, implemented in partnership with the civil association Aprendo y Emprendo, where students first learned about the SDGs and how to apply them, promoting initiatives and activities that can contribute to the achievement of the 2030 Agenda.
In a second work day, through a practical and collaborative approach, students identified and addressed problems in their environment, with the purpose of generating innovative ideas that promote positive change in their community.
In addition, the project methodology promoted critical and creative thinking in young people, encouraging the formulation of ideas aimed at solving problems and providing them with tools to transform their reality.
Likewise, the program allowed them to develop skills such as research, communication, teamwork and problem-solving, which will be useful to them throughout their lives.
Young students committed to humanity
Bancamiga supports the achievement of the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development that was adopted by the UN General Assembly in 2015, establishing an action plan that seeks to overcome the greatest challenges to the quality of life of the planet’s inhabitants, the preservation of the environment and prosperity.
The United Nations Member States committed to mobilize the necessary means for its implementation through alliances and urged both the private sector and civil society to do their part to achieve global goals.
