Apple earned 2.25% more in its fiscal third quarter

The company registered an increase in profits during the third fiscal quarter, which includes April and June

Apple registered a net profit of 19,881 million dollars in its third fiscal quarter (between April and June 2023), which is 2.25 % more than the 19,442 million dollars obtained in the same period of the previous fiscal year, as reported by the company in its results.

Regarding total sales, the company billed for a value of 81,797 million dollars, which is 1.4 % less compared to the billing of its third fiscal quarter of 2022.

Specifically, Apple’s sales by segments fell especially in the Japanese market, where it dropped 11.5 %, to 4,821 million dollars; in the Americas market, it registered 5.6 % less, to 35,383 million dollars, and in the rest of Asia and the Pacific, it achieved 8.4 % less, to 5,630 million dollars.

On the opposite side, sales increased in the European market, where it achieved 4.75 % more, to 20,205 million dollars and, mostly in China, with an increase of 7.9%, to 15,758 million dollars.

Between April and June, iPhone sales reported to Apple, 39,669 million dollars, 2.4 % less; those of MAC, 6,840 million dollars, 7.3 % less and iPad, 5,791 million dollars, 19 % less.

Apple’s board of directors declared a cash dividend of $0.24 per common share of the company, payable on August 17, 2023, to shareholders of record as of the close of business on August 14, 2023.
