The president of Activision, Rob Kostich, assured that the future plans for the video game developer are based on continuing the development of the Call of Duty franchise, with new content in the saga planned until 2027.

The company is preparing the launch of the new installment of its popular video game saga Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare III, which will arrive on November 10 on PlayStation and Xbox consoles and PC, coinciding with the twentieth anniversary of the franchise.

In this sense, after the launch of this new title, Activision intends to continue focusing its efforts on the development of new Call of Duty installments in the long term, with games planned until 2027, as announced by the president. of the company, Rob Kostich, in an interview with GamesBeat.

Currently, Activision has three main studios exclusively responsible for developing the Call of Duty saga, which receive support from other secondary studios. Altogether, Kostich has detailed that around 3,000 developers are working for the entire saga.

This is because, according to Kostich, the games “have changed a lot” and now “are much more difficult to make“, because they require more manpower and more resources to achieve the final results that are offered today in these games. first-person shooter.
