Abu Dhabi and Belgium work on blockchain pilot program

The two nations signed an agreement in order to develop a supply chain

The nations Abu Dhabi and Belgium announced joint work to develop a project for the creation of a supply chain supported by blockchain technology.

This idea will be called Silsai, and it will focus on the use of the chain of blocks to provide better traceability, visibility and transparency to the system, flow of goods and supply chains in the territory.

Both states said that the first tests yielded very positive results, as they indicated that their objective is to put it to use specifically to track the documentation supply chain between the port of Abu Dhabi and the port of Belgium, in Antwerp.

For the Arab territory this represents a big step, in view that it shows how the financial and governmental sector are acclimating to the distributed ledger technology, which not only has the potential to revolutionize the financial industry, but also for other aspects of the labor market.
