On Saturday, October 27th and Sunday, October 28th, the event CryptoLandia, an artistic, gastronomic and cultural fair which purpose is to promote the adoption and use of cryptocurrencies, will be held in the city of Bogotá. In the same way, more knowledge about blockchain technology and its applications in daily life will be offered.
Admission to the event will be completely free, however the only thing that is requested is the donation of non-perishable items, diapers, clothing and school supplies because the donations received will be delivered to soup kitchens, passing homes and schools in the area. The donated items will be followed up with mechanisms based on blockchain technology, through photos and videos, to show the public how new technologies can offer traceability and transparency to the different processes.
The event will be held in the town of Chia, to promote the commercialization of products and services in remote areas of the capital using digital currencies as a means of payment.
Alejandro Fernández, member of the organizing team of CriptoLandia, said that they want to promote education on blockchain and cryptocurrencies, explaining the potential they bring, not only to entrepreneurs or artists, but to the public in general so that they can perceive the advantages that the theme brings for all. The event will count on qualified team of speakers and exhibitors.
The most important thing to ensure the adoption of these technologies is usability, so by showing attendees how easy it is to make use of cryptocurrencies to purchase goods and services will be contributing to digital currencies being used as a mechanism of effective trade for people who are outside the banking ecosystem.
