SEC wants to stop Voyager purchase

Everything indicates that the operation initiated by Binance to acquire Voyager will have some obstacles

The United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) may want to intervene in the acquisition of Voyager Digital by Binance.

The SEC asked a judge to completely stop this transaction, which involves the bankrupt company and Binance US.

This week the US body filed a limited objection to the purchase and has questioned the information submitted by the exchange, especially the details about the ability of the cryptocurrency company to “consume a transaction of this magnitude.”

Binance began in December of last year all the legal procedures to acquire the company for an amount close to 1,020 million dollars. The now-defunct FTX had agreed to buy Voyager, though the deal fell apart after the exchange crashed in December.
