Binance resumes local currency deposits in Brazil

Thanks to the use of the Pix platform, the Binance company announced the return of this type of operation that had been suspended on June 17

The Binance exchange recently announced that it will resume deposits of Brazilian reals, after having suspended the service on June 17.

The company will be able to do this again thanks to the participation of the Brazilian Pix payment system, which also plans to participate “shortly” in withdrawals.

This is also happening thanks to the new association with Latam Gateway, announced on June 24 after breaking with the digital bank Capital, which until then had intermediated Pix’s operations for the exchange. Withdrawals remain suspended and are expected to resume “soon,” the cryptocurrency exchange said in a note.

Pix is a digital payment processing company that has been operating since October 5, 2020 and is part of the Instant Payment System (SPI).
