Mexico is filled with companies dedicated to fintech

A study carried out by Finnovista highlighted that up to now 2018 companies dedicated to technological finance have been created

A recent analysis determined that in the last year in Mexico approximately 125 companies dedicated to Fintech have been created.

The organization in charge of this study was Finnovista, which explained that the Mexican sector is already invaded by at least 334 startups, which indicates that the new finance sector has grown by 40% compared to 2017.

“The barrier of 300 startups has been overcome very comfortably, and Mexico joins the major leagues of Ibero-American countries, where Spain has about 380 and Brazil with 374,” explained Fermín Bueno, founding partner of Finnovista.

The partner of Finnovista assures that this “Fintech Law” will bring good things for the country, although at the moment the growth of this ecosystem should not be considered as crucial.

Despite this growth, other countries have a greater boom in this field, such as Brazil that surpasses Mexico with 347 companies related to the Fintech economy.
