Bit2Me launches game that will pay reward in cryptocurrencies

Bit2Me and OVR launched a game like Pokemon Go that will be valid until March 24 where participants will be able to obtain a prize in cryptocurrencies

The Spanish technology firm Bit2Me together with the OVR platform are projecting their first completely virtual initiative, providing a giant step in the metaverse using their B2M token in a game in the style of Pokemon Go, where participants can obtain prizes in cryptocurrencies.

The game, which will remain active until March 24 and where only users with European nationality and who reside in the European Union can participate, will have a final reward of 500 dollars, which will be delivered in B2M tokens.

According to information on the Bit2Me blog, “the partnership with OVR allowed the company to create an augmented reality event where participants can use the metaverse platform to get B2M rewards.”

With a mobile connected to the internet, users will search for “the chests in their closest environment thanks to Augmented Reality technology”. However, more experienced participants also have the option of using their augmented reality glasses for a more immersive scavenger hunt experience.

Cryptocurrency rewards

Players will have at their disposal about 150,000 B2M, which is equivalent to approximately $5,700 in value as of March 04, 2022, divided into assets symbolized with the B2M logo in 3D and with a value of 5 B2M each.

The mechanism to obtain a reward is simple. Players will have to find and collect all the B2M in digital asset format that they can; the more they collect, the greater the possibility of winning the final prize.

OVR will provide Bit2me with the information of the players, emails and amount of tokens collected, and if they have a registered and verified account on the Bit2met platform, they will automatically obtain their cryptocurrencies once the treasure hunt is over.

With this strategy Bit2Me could consolidate itself as one of the Spanish companies in the cryptocurrency business. Recognized by the Bank of Spain as a provider of cryptocurrencies, which managed to intermediate and manage digital currencies “with a transaction volume of more than 1,100 million euros in 2021“.

If this digital initiative becomes a success, other companies could venture into making augmented reality games that facilitate obtaining cryptocurrencies as prizes.
