WhatsApp works on chat transfer from Android to iOS

The developers of the messaging network are testing this feature that would facilitate the transfer of backups between platforms

The WhatsApp messaging application began to test the function with which it will allow its users to transfer their chats to mobile devices with an iOS system, in which data can now only be sent to Android but not vice versa.

WhatsApp debuted the chat migration feature on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3 folding phones announced in August, and later rolled it out to more phones from the South Korean brand. However, this feature only allows you to transfer chats from an iOS to another Android.

Now, as the specialized portal WABetaInfo indicated, the application began to test the function that allows the reverse path: migrating the history from one Android mobile to another with iOS.

WhatsApp, which so far has not issued a statement about this function, could require the use of a physical cable to connect both mobiles, as it already happens in Android, as well as the use of an application ‘expressly’ known as “Move to iOS“.
