Apple CEO Tim Cook met with Colombian President Ivan Duque at the World Economic Forum

Iván Duque, Colombian head of state and Tim Cook, executive president of Apple, one of the most important companies in the world, met at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland and among the topics discussed were education and how to close the digital divide in the country.

Cook highlighted his interest in investing in Colombia and said: “We are willing to do more things in Colombia. We talk about education and how to close the digital gap for the benefit of all.”

For his part, Duque highlighted the interest of the North American multinational and was pleased to share ideas on how Apple can contribute to the improvement of Colombian education.

It should be noted, that the Colombian market is one of the main Apple in Latin America and the relationship of the consortium with the country extends through various aspects. The multinational company markets its star products in Colombia, such as the iPhone in its various models, Mac computers and iPads.

Similarly, at the World Economic Forum, Cook emphasized the interest of the Cupertino multinational in the promotion of education.

The consortium announced the translation of the guides of its program “Creativity for all” to languages ​​such as German, French, Spanish and Italian. The program is designed to free children’s creativity in their daily classes. “Creativity for all” teaches students to develop and communicate ideas through drawing, music, video and photos.
