Bancamiga merges art and finance with the mural “Global Narratives” at its Altamira Branch
With this 21-meter artistic intervention, Altamira joins a circuit that already includes Chacao and El Hatillo in Caracas, and the San Francisco branch in Zulia state
Bancamiga continues to transform its customers’ experience by integrating aesthetics and innovation into its physical spaces. This time, the Altamira Branch is “dressed up” to inaugurate an impressive facade renovation featuring the artwork “Global Narratives,” a 21-meter artistic intervention that intertwines the essence of the global economy with the sensibility of contemporary art, according to an institutional press release.
The piece is the work of renowned Venezuelan visual artist María Fernanda Lairet, whose international career is distinguished by her use of banknotes as a central element of her work, exploring the relationship between value, history, and globalization. Lairet has been developing the concept of “Global Narratives” since 2008 with the aim of creating unique and unrepeatable works.
“I am very happy to once again display my art on the walls of Bancamiga. Global Narratives is a composition of lines, circles, and some of the world’s currency denominations: the Swiss franc, the dollar, the euro, and the bolívar. I integrated Bancamiga’s presence by using its logo and the four colors of its corporate Pantone color scheme in a way that allows it to permeate the entire work,” the artist explained.
Bancamiga: leading the financial sector with agile and secure solutions

With this renovation, the Altamira branch becomes the fourth Bancamiga agency to receive a large-scale art installation, joining a network that already includes the Chacao and El Hatillo branches in Caracas, and the San Francisco branch in Zulia state.
For Bancamiga, art on its facades is a statement of principles. The institution seeks to renovate its spaces to provide clients with a distinctive experience when conducting their financial transactions. The visual design aligns with its values of modernity and integrity, demonstrating that banking can be a disruptive space that inspires the community.
Through this partnership with national talent, Bancamiga reaffirms its commitment to the country’s cultural development, transforming its spaces into aesthetic landmarks for citizens, while continuing to lead the financial sector with agile and secure solutions.
