Santiago will host the first tributary hackathon in Latin America

The event will be held between April 24 and 25 in Santiago de Chile and is supported by the Organization of the Internal Revenue Service and the International Monetary Fund (IMF)

The first Tax Hackathon of Latin America is focused on undergraduate, postgraduate, entrepreneur and innovator students so they can compete with proposals for technological solutions.

It is expected that all stakeholders can compete with original and emerging ideas to face challenges and solve problems related to the management of the Internal Revenue Service.

People wishing to participate in the activity can register and fill out a form available on the website sii.cl until Friday 19 April.

As of April 22, participants will be notified that during two days they will be able to compete with innovative solutions through software development that allows them to address the challenges that will arise during the course of the competition.

For its part, the director of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Fernando Barraza says: “Initiatives such as this allow us, as an institution, to adapt to a more dynamic and interconnected context every day and encourages us to continue that pace and generate the necessary links to face the new demands of societies in permanent change.”
