YouTube prepares a function to automatically summarize videos with AI
The platform is working on a function that involves the use of artificial intelligence
YouTube is preparing a new functionality with which summaries of the platform’s videos can be generated automatically thanks to Artificial Intelligence (AI), which can help users choose the content they want to see.
Google has begun testing AI-generated auto-generated roundups on YouTube, which are included on both the watch and search pages, it shared in an update to its support page.
These summaries are intended to provide a brief overview of a video’s content to help users choose what to watch, and will be displayed on YouTube’s watch and search pages.
The company has qualified that these summaries “do not replace the descriptions of the videos that are written by the creators” and that, at the moment, it is being tested with a limited number of videos and viewers.
