Whatsapp will seek to link with Android tablets

A new beta version of the messaging platform will allow you to link an account with tablets

WhatsApp began testing the linking of tablets with the Android operating system to use the messaging service on a secondary computer, different from the mobile device where the account is installed.

Users of the WhatsApp Android beta (v2.22.21.6:) can now link an Android tablet to their account in the messaging service, as one of the four different devices it supports. The device with the account can be Android, but also an iPhone.

The user will be able to link a tablet from the WhatsApp settings on the phone, where they will have to go to “Link a device” and scan a QR code that they will see on the screen of the tablet. This process starts the synchronization of the messages between the two computers.

Once the synchronization is complete, WaBetaInfo confirms that WhatsApp can be used on the tablet without the need for the mobile to have an Internet connection or be turned on.
