WhatsApp paralyzes the messaging services for an hour

The system crash caused network users to stop receiving and sending messages

This Friday, the popular social messaging network for smartphones WhatsApp suffered a crash in its system that lasted about an hour, leaving users’ conversations interrupted for no apparent reason.

The fall generated around 6:10 p.m., time in Europe, also affected the Instagram platform, where there was no update on the news and inoperative activities in its service, something that led many users to report the inconveniences caused by the Facebook network.

So far, the reason for the failure suffered by the two applications belonging to the Internet giant that Mark Zuckerberg founded is unknown, and Facebook, which is where some relevant information is expected to emerge, has not reported anything about the nature of the failure.

On the Downdetector website, more than 1.2 million people have reported problems with Instagram, while more than 23,000 have said they are experiencing problems with the messaging service.

This is not the first time that WhatsApp has suffered a failure in its system. By 2020 the platform left users without service for an hour worldwide, except Spain, leaving the system inoperative.
