Telegram brings voice chats to channels
The app allows administrators to add one of these elements to the public channels and groups of the platform
The Telegram messaging application has introduced new functions in its voice chats, bringing this feature to its channels, which have no limit on the number of listeners, and which make them more similar to the Clubhouse public rooms.
Voice chats have been present on Telegram since December, and now the application allows administrators to add one of these elements to the platform’s public channels and groups, as Telegram announced in a statement.
Likewise, Telegram has begun to allow in its latest update that users record the audio of voice chats, so that people who did not hear them live can hear them.
In chats in which participants are muted, the application has introduced the new function of raising your hand, to ask administrators to speak, so that they can let you speak.
The system for joining voice chats has been redesigned, and administrators can now share speaker and listener links to other people, while users now have the option to appear in chats with their personal account or with one of their channels.
