Whatsapp introduced new blocking function

The instant messaging service introduced a new security tool, which will allow blocking through fingerprint

The WhatsApp messaging application introduced a new function with which users can enjoy a new security measure thanks to the fingerprint lock available for all Android phones.

Earlier this year, the messaging service launched the Touch ID and Face ID functions for iPhone unlock, and now it presented a similar fingerprint unlock function for all compatible Android mobile phones, as announced in their blog.

To enable this function you must have the latest update of the application, once there you have to go to Settings + Account + Privacy + Fingerprint lock. The user will have to activate this function and save footprint in the app itself.

By activating this function, the user will also have the possibility to set a timer for automatic locking, being able to choose between immediately, in a minute or in 30 minutes. Once activated the application will prevent anyone from reading his messages, although this function does not block calls.
