WhatsApp extends voice notes length of Statuses to one minute

The WhatsApp messaging application will allow an extension in the duration of voice notes in the Statuses

In addition to the recent announcements by the WhatsApp messaging platform about calls and profile photo creation using AI, the doubling of the duration of voice notes in the Statuses is added.

With this new feature, WhatsApp users have the ability to publish up to one minute of audio. The function, which “is available in Spain for both iOS and Android devices, comes with the latest version of the popular messaging application.”

As you may remember, before this announcement, voice notes for the Statuses were limited to 30 seconds. With this, the messaging application wants to provide greater versatility and communication options to users.

According to information from the specialized portal WABetainfo, to enjoy this new function it is required “to have the most recent version of the application, both to record and listen to one-minute voice notes.”

To share a voice note Statuses, the user must open the application, go to “News”, then touch the forum of their profile, which is accompanied by the “+” symbol in green in the “Statuses” tab. There you must select the “Text” option, click on the microphone icon at the bottom right. At that point you can start recording what you want to share and then remove your finger from the screen. The voice note will be ready to share in the Statuses.
