It should be remembered that cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death in the world. Cardiac arrest is the main complication of these diseases, which without immediate treatment with cardio-pulmonary resuscitation and defibrillation leads to death. The chances of survival decrease 10% for every minute that care is delayed, Venemergencia explained.
– With this program, any person, even without complex or sophisticated professional training, can successfully act as a first responder in their community in situations such as those mentioned; which multiplies by thousands the probability of timely and effectively attending to this type and type of medical emergencies.
