Whatsapp can be opened on two mobile devices

The platform is working on the possibility that users can have their account on several mobile devices

WhatsApp is developing a new functionality for Android that allows you to open the instant messaging application with the same phone number or user on two mobile terminals simultaneously.

Currently, WhatsApp allows you to link the smartphone application with other devices, such as a computer or a tablet, with its web version through the “Linked devices” option.

Users can use up to four paired devices and one phone at a time, without the phone being kept online to use WhatsApp on these devices. However, if more than 14 days have passed, and it has not been used, the linked devices will be disconnected, according to the company on its website.

The WABetaInfo portal recently spoke about a change related to the way the user has to link an account with other technological devices in the new version 2.22.10.13 released through the Google Play beta program in which the company is currently working.

A screenshot shared by this portal includes a new section called “Register device as a plug-in“, which will appear when the user tries to open the application on a second mobile.
