Space flights offer unforgettable experiences. This is the case of the recent first flight of Virgin Galactic, a company directed by Richard Branson.

On Thursday, “VSS Unity from Spaceport America, the Virgin Galactic base, in southern New Mexico (USA). An hour later it “separated from its mother ship, VMS Eve, to continue the rest of the way on its own and while at about 13.7 kilometers altitude”.

At the helm of the ship was Mike Masucci; the pilot was the former member of the Italian Air Force, Nicole Pecile. The tour took them to the border between Earth’s atmosphere and space.

Taking into account that the company has a waiting list of 800 passengers, it is very likely that the second Virgin Galactic commercial flight will be organized in the next month.

At the moment, the company is raising the necessary funds for an operation of this magnitude. Branson’s ambition is for weekly flights to be possible.
