This Sunday, February 1, Venezuela’s interim president, Delcy Rodríguez, celebrated the first export of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) as a historic milestone for the nation.
Through the Telegram application, Rodríguez indicated that the Chrysopigi Lady vessel had set sail from Venezuela with the first shipment of LPG, without specifying its destination. Regarding this, the interim president had already mentioned the signing of an international LPG marketing contract on January 16.
The official stated: “Together with the working class, we have marked this historic milestone by exporting the country’s first molecule of gas, an achievement for the well-being of the Venezuelan people.”
This first export is part of “a series of efforts by the Venezuelan government to increase its energy production, amidst international restrictions.”
