Venemergencia Foundation and CIAP graduated a cohort of the PAME Diploma in partnership with UCAB
In partnership and collaboration with UCAB's CIAP, PAME is expanding, developing, and strengthening the only diploma in prehospital health created and implemented by a private institution
The Emergency Medical Aid Provider Diploma, taught and designed by the Venemergencia Foundation in partnership with the Andrés Bello Catholic University and the International Center for Professional Development (CIAP), graduated its first cohort of healthcare professionals with certified first aid training. different types of medical emergencies and urgencies. More than 250 people have already been trained in this program, which has had 12 previous editions in partnership with Simón Bolívar University. With this cohort, twelve more people join the group, thanks to the institutional partnership between Venemergencia and UCAB.
This Diploma for the Training of Emergency Medical Assistance Providers (PAME) was the first major project of the Venemergencia Foundation with a curriculum that, combining the best of American and European experience, allows paramedics to certify their knowledge, often empirical, in addition to ensuring the excellence of their performance and allowing them to opt for better career options and an improvement in their quality of life.
In partnership and collaboration with UCAB’s CIAP (Center for Advanced Medical Training and Training), PAME is being expanded, developed, and strengthened as the only diploma in prehospital health created and implemented by a private institution and, as of 2025, is endorsed by the National Academy of Medicine. PAME has become an educational benchmark, with students including doctors, nurses, paramedics, firefighters, nutritionists, and students from these and other healthcare disciplines.
The event was chaired by Dr. Andrés Simón González – Silén, founder and Executive Director of Venemergencia, and Dr. Luis Enrique Velásquez, also founder and Director of Operations at Venemergencia, along with two representatives from CIAP: Luisa Azuaje, Academic Design Coordinator, and Yohana Mata, Faculty Support Coordinator.
