US Congress to be the most crypto-friendly
Donald Trump, winner of the US presidential election on November 5, will have the most crypto-friendly Congress with the victory of 247 candidates in favor of digital currencies
The US Congress has 247 members in favor of cryptocurrencies, after the votes this Tuesday, November 5, which coincided with the presidential elections where Donald Trump was the winner.
The 247 seats prevailed over 113 anti-crypto members. However, digital currencies even have the support of the Senate, with 15 supporters and 10 opponents. According to analysts, this pro-crypto stance could pave the way for favorable legislation.
The House and Senate’s pro-digital asset stance, coupled with Trump’s presidential victory, has given industry insiders a boost, and they remain optimistic.
Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong expressed his enthusiasm for the election result, calling it “a defining moment for cryptocurrencies” and congratulated members of Congress, describing it as the most crypto-friendly in history.
