Twitter works on account delegation feature
The social network is developing two new functionalities with which users can authorize or restrict unwanted interactions
The social network Twitter is developing two new functionalities with which users can delegate the account or limit unwanted interactions with the safe mode, which is currently in testing and has a presentation page.
Reverse engineering expert Jane Manchun Wong shared the news the company is currently working on. The first is a function whose purpose is to allow users to “delegate an account”, with the option that will appear in the account information, next to the icon of a star.
While the second innovation has to do with a new screen for safe mode, which is being created to “automatically block abusive content on the platform“, preventing the user from having access to it, this includes “harmful language, hateful, repetitive or unwanted comments.”
The new screen, in addition to presenting this mode, will allow user to limit the information and “interactions that are not welcome”. It also has the option of showing the accounts that the company identified for presenting “abusive behaviors or spam”. From that same screen users will be able to activate the safe mode.
As you may recall, the social network launched the “safe mode” function in September and currently the company is still testing this functionality in a small group of users in its “version for iOS, Android and on its website”, starting with the accounts that have English language settings enabled.
