The platform reported that "more than one billion people go to their accounts to have fun, get inspired or discover something new

The social network TikTok exceeded the barrier of 1,000 million monthly active users globally. That is, they connect to the application at least once a month.

“More than a billion people from around the world come to TikTok to be entertained, inspired or discover something new“, as assured Vanessa Pappas, director of operations of TikTok in a video on the official account of the social network.

TikTok was launched internationally in 2017 as the world version of the Chinese app Douyin, developed by the company ByteDance and specialized in a short vertical video format for mobile phones.

The social network stands out for popular content on the platform such as sports, art, music, culture, fashion and crafts. With this milestone, the development team and administrators in general wanted to thank the global community for exceeding the figure of one billion users active monthly.
