The world has 8,000 bitcoin ATMs
A monitoring carried out by CoinATMRadar ensured that these devices are distributed in some 73 countries around the world
An investigation carried out by CoinATMRadar indicated that there are at least 8,000 ATMs spread across 73 countries worldwide.
According to the data provided, 6,000 of this list are found only in the United States. Depending on the type of ATM, users can buy and withdraw bitcoin cash, ether, dash, litecoin, zcash, monero, dogecoin, tether and xrp.
Since March, the number of ATMs in the world has grown by 17%, after it had been reported that the world had 7,000 ATMs.
However, much of the growth occurred in the United States. CoinATMRadar data shows that the number of BTMs in Switzerland, Austria and the UK decreased in 2020, while Spain stagnated with 71.
