The statement, published on Telegram, reads: “Dearest brothers and sisters, it is with profound sorrow that I must announce the death of our Holy Father Francis.”

This was stated by Cardinal Kevin Farrell, adding: “This morning, at 7:35 a.m. (05:35 GMT), the Bishop of Rome, Francis, returned to the Father’s house. His entire life was dedicated to the service of the Lord and His Church.”
