The European Union has chosen this Friday 35 research and innovation projects in a call that has the objective of developing 5G systems and promoting research into 6G technology in Europe.
With an allocation of €250 million, the objective of this aid is to build a first-class European supply chain for advanced 5G systems and to develop Europe’s 6G technological capabilities.
This is the first call within the framework of the European Joint Undertaking for Intelligent Networks and Services, with which the EU promotes research and innovation to promote Europe’s technological sovereignty.
The projects will develop intelligent communication components, systems and networks for 6G, following the path of evolving advanced 5G technology through further enhancements and investigating the benefits of potential technology enablers.
