Real Madrid Foundation will open academy in Venezuela

This Monday, the Real Madrid Foundation announced that it will open a school in Caracas, Venezuela, in the spaces of the Metropolitan University with the support of Banplus

The Real Madrid Foundation reported this Monday that the Spanish team Real Madrid will have an academy in Venezuela, with the support of Banplus, in the spaces of the Metropolitan University (Unimet) in Caracas.

They indicated that they have already organized “soccer camps and clinics with the team in several states of Venezuela, they reiterated Real Madrid’s willingness to continue betting on national talent, so they would not want to stay only with the Caracas academy, but rather expand to several cities in the country.”

The MVP Mundo organization is in charge of this alliance between the Real Madrid Foundation and the Metropolitan University (Unimet). As they pointed out to the media, the academy will have its main headquarters at this university, with the support of Banplus Banco Universal, where they have been recruiting new talents in soccer in all the cities of Venezuela.

With the presentation of the project, it was announced that currently more than 550 children have gone through the foundation’s training. Furthermore, nearly 300 of them have obtained “scholarships to fulfill their dream of becoming professional players in teams like Atlético de Madrid.”

The foundation has trained children and young people since 2012. Now, with the academy, they want to provide support to children “who want to play soccer from the age of four until they are professionals, because the idea is not to provide them with training of a few days or weeks, as was done with the clinics and camps, but that they can have a permanent academy from Monday to Friday.”

It is important to note that there is a fee for participation in these Real Madrid sports camps, which was set at USD 160 per month. However, those who show high performance may opt for a scholarship.
