Spanish soccer team bets on cryptocurrencies

This Monday the professional foot ball team that represents the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) announced the launch of its own digital currency to its fans, this was announced by the national team through a statement.

Stars like Sergio Ramos, David de Gea and others will debut the name of the blockchain partner, Bitci, the logo stamped on the stars’ uniforms represents the team’s commitment and drive towards cryptocurrencies.

After establishing an agreement with the Turkish technology company, Bitci Technology, the federation will have under its command for the first time a token called fans tokens, as displayed in the official account of the selection “thanks to the agreement of @rfef with the technology company @bitcicom, fans of the Spanish team will be able to access these innovative digital assets.”

RFEF is considered the first local team to launch a digital asset based on blockchain technology, which grants fans of a sports team, or other organization, voting rights. It also gives sports fans access to discounts, exclusive promotions, prizes and unique experiences with their favorite stars.

Luis Rubiales, president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, highlighted the importance of staying at the forefront of popular technology, something that “allows us to create more synergy and link even more with the fans of the Spanish football team around the world”, assured Rubiales.
