Students will return to classrooms in Venezuela on September 30, as announced by Education Minister Héctor Rodríguez
The 2024-2025 school term will begin on September 30 as announced by the Minister of Education, Héctor Rodríguez, emphasizing the prior maintenance of the facilities so that the start of classes occurs in the best conditions.
In this sense, Rodríguez also indicated that “more than 300,000 tables and chairs will be created that will be distributed in schools throughout the nation.”
Currently, according to the Minister, 86 school fairs are deployed throughout the country where more than 230 entrepreneurs participate, offering their products to families, facilitating the acquisition of school supplies, uniforms and other items necessary for returning to school.
Regarding the repairs of the facilities for the correct school dynamics, the official pointed out that the “maintenance of 1,251 new schools through the Military Community Brigades for Education and Health (Bricomiles) is already in progress.”
In addition, 509 schools were selected, in a national popular consultation, “to be rehabilitated and added that measures were taken to improve the quality and quantity of the School Feeding Program (PAE),” Rodríguez added.
