PayPal will bring cryptocurrency service to Europe

The payment processor will extend cryptocurrency payments within Luxembourg, it said in a statement

The PayPal digital payment platform announced that it will extend the use of its cryptocurrency services to European territory, specifically within Luxembourg.

This movement is considered by experts as a key point for the entry of this service by the payment processor into the European market.

PayPal launched its digital currency product for customers in the United States two years ago and hasn’t stopped since. Last year, the company expanded the service to the UK and more recently, in 2022, added features to allow users to withdraw their funds to external wallets.

According to an official statement from the company, this service is already available to a certain number of clients in Luxembourg, who will be able to carry out transactions with bitcoin, ether, litecoin, bitcoin cash, among others.

“Adding Luxembourg is an important step in PayPal’s mission to make digital currencies more accessible,” the company said in the statement.
