Paxful and WeRemoto offer crypto options to freelancers

The new modality will provide resources to freelancers for their work abroad

The number of people looking for payment alternatives inclined to independent work that allows them to obtain extra income continues to increase, and the most common way is to offer services abroad with the possibility of charging in dollars.

The statistics are evidenced in the WeRemoto platform, where it is reflected that at the end of 2019 and part of 2020 there was an increase of 72 % in the traffic of its website, showing the growing interest of Latin workers during the pandemic for jobs abroad.

In this conextion, Magdiela Rivas, manager for Latin America at Paxful, underlines a new agreement with WeRemoto, through which “we will be focused on educating independent professionals about a new alternative so that they can receive their payments for what they invoice abroad from a easy way and keeping the value of their income.”

Rivas explains that through Paxful’s financial platform, users residing in countries like Argentina “can charge the equivalent of their payment in dollars in crypto and then sell them at the value of the blue dollar, which is very convenient due to the existing gap with the price of the official dollar.”

In this sense, Ryan Clodfelter, CEO of WeRemoto, believes that digital currencies have taken ground in the market to such a point that, in the future, they will become the most important method of exchange. “That is why through this alliance, the WeRemoto community will be able to obtain the best information to understand and start using crypto for purchases and sales of services from their job opportunities.”
