Mexico recovered its economic level

The president of Mexico, López Obrador, assured that the country returned to the levels it had prior to the pandemic

The Mexican president, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, assured that the country has recovered the economic levels prior to the Covid-19 pandemic.

This was maintained during a rendering of accounts of what has been carried out by his Executive in the last three months and in which he stressed that Mexico has faced “great challenges,” according to several media outlets.

“In these years we have faced great challenges, such as the pandemic and the economic crisis, however, these difficult circumstances put us to the test and show whether the change project we initiated works,” said López Obrador from the National Palace.

The president of Mexico also said that, despite the fact that there has been no growth in the country’s economy, a better distribution of wealth would have been achieved.

“We have managed to reduce inequality and poverty, with no growth but with a better distribution of income. While in 2018 the richest earned on average 18 times more than the poor in 2020, inequality has been reduced to 16 times“, he added.
