Meta updates its privacy policy

The company that owns Facebook detailed how they use the services and the information they collect about their users

Meta made changes to its Privacy Policy again to explain in a more clear and understandable way the use that its services make of the information they collect from people, and the changes that will take effect on July 26.

The new version of the Meta Privacy Policy does not expand the data that services such as Facebook and Instagram can collect, nor does it incorporate new ways of using them. Its purpose, as the company explained, is to offer a clearer and more understandable text.

To achieve this, Meta rewrote its data policies, which now have new details and examples, with which it facilitates access to data management controls and explains how it uses and shares information with third parties.

Along with this, it also incorporated new controls to manage who sees people’s posts and the topics about which users want to see ads.
