Logan Technology launches the “Panita” equipment

The company announced the official launch to the Venezuelan market the phone called "Panita", which will cost $27

The Logan Technology company, recognized for its experience in the creation of technological devices, has presented its first mobile device, called “Panita”, in the Venezuelan market. This affordable entry-level phone is packed with smart apps, offering users a combination of accessibility and functionality.

Javier Espinoza, the company’s CEO, explained that “our initial goal was to design an extremely affordable phone that would also provide access to the applications we commonly use today, such as WhatsApp, YouTube and Google browsing.”

The device includes features such as a flashlight, a 2.4-inch QVGA screen with 320×240 pixel resolution, a 0.3 MP VGA rear camera, micro SD port for up to 32 GB of internal memory, micro USB and headphone ports, dual card slots SIM, a 1,000-milliamp battery, and radio functionality.

In addition, the “Panita” works with the KaiOS operating system, “which was conceived in 2019, supported by Google and currently ranks third in terms of the most used operating systems worldwide. It serves as a basic alternative to Android.”

The suggested retail price is $27. “Our goal with this project is to ensure accessibility for anyone,” added Espinoza.

Espinoza, the CEO of Logan Technology, narrated that the inspiration to create the “Panita” arose more than two years ago when one of the employees at his home was left without a phone and needed a way to keep in touch with her daughter, who immigrated to Colombia.

“My wife mentioned that Ilda, who has worked with us for more than a decade, had a broken smartphone, which shocked me. She has had her daughter in Colombia for more than five years, and her phone was her only means of communication with her,” Espinoza said.
