International brands could boost franchise sector growth in Venezuela

The Venezuelan Franchise Chamber estimates that international brands could boost the sector in Venezuela by 15 %

The Venezuelan Franchise Chamber (Profranquicias) indicated during the Focus On! 2026 event that the sector could experience 15 % growth in Venezuela thanks to the impetus provided by international brands.

Business leaders who participated in the event analyzed the cultural transformation and digital innovation in the Venezuelan franchise market, as well as the dynamism of the food, retail, and service sectors.

Raúl Angulo, president of Profranquicias, explained that “more than 75 brands currently operate in the country, distributed across 2,500 points of business, generating more than 44,000 direct and indirect jobs.”

Other topics addressed at the event included “market restructuring and operational scaling of the sector in Venezuela”; leadership in the face of the new demographic and technological realities of the Venezuelan labor market; and cultural transformation and operational resilience as prerequisites for strategic growth in the country’s current economic phase.
