Interactive Brokers includes cryptocurrency service to its clients

The company will now offer the possibility of buying and selling with bitcoin, ethereum, bitcoin cash and litecoin

The economic advisory and shares company Interactive Brokers has included a purchase and sale service for four specific cryptocurrencies.

From October 18, users of Paxos Trust Company will be able to trade and guard bitcoin, ethereum, bitcoin cash and litecoin.

The firm reported that this service was currently available only to its advisers in the United States, but it planned to enable cryptocurrency trading for all of its clients globally in the future.

“The allocation of a small percentage of assets to cryptocurrencies as part of a well-diversified portfolio has become increasingly common, and advisers may want to recommend cryptocurrencies to their clients,” said the executive vice president of marketing and development of Interactive Brokers products, Steve Sanders.

Based in the US, Interactive Brokers falls under the purview of regulators such as the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. As of October 1st, the company declared 1.54 million customer accounts with $ 353.8 million in assets.
