IMF maintains growth forecast for Venezuela in 2025

The International Monetary Fund expects Venezuela's economic growth to reach 3% in 2025

In its World Economic Outlook report, the International Monetary Fund maintains Venezuela’s economic growth projection for 2025 at 3 %.

Although the organization has lowered estimates of growth in the Gross Domestic Product at the end of 2024, it expects the projection of the report released on Tuesday, November 26, to be met next year.

The IMF declined to give further details about the country’s economic growth. However, it mentioned inflation of 60 % at the end of 2024, well below the 169% estimated in April thanks, among other factors, to the inflationary slowdown that Venezuela has been experiencing.

The organization does not expect this trend to continue next year and projects an almost identical variation of 60.1 %.
